i need a hurrr cut

It has been way too long. Like, embarassingly too long. I don't want to talk about it.

But I DO need my hairs cut!

This is what I look like:

I have tried growing out my bangs but I'm afraid my forehead is too big and rectangle.

So maybe bangs again?

One time I also put random blond streaks in my hair (no not highlights), so I'm thinking that might be done again.

The other question is...HOW short?

I'm always afraid to go too short. I love my long hair. Like. Seriously love. But at the same time I really like change...Oh the dilemmas of being a girl!

What do you like to do when you want a change for your hair?

hunger games.

I'm so obsessed.

Only 50 days until the movie comes out!

And guess what?! 

They posted a new trailer today.

 I was sitting alone in my room watching it. 

When it finished, I literally screamed out loud from excitement. 

Don't judge.

I read all three books in a week and a half. 

I was also working two jobs-about 60 hours a week-at the time.

I dare you to tell me how you're more obsessed than me. 

Or just tell me you'll join me in my same level of obsessive-ness! 

why didn't I think of this before?

Rock Climbing.

I went on Friday night for the first time since I was in eighth grade.

I loved it.

DUH.

I don't know why I didn't figure it out before? I had plenty of evidence that I would love it.





Exhibit A: When I was 7 years old we had a street light (roughly 20 ft high) in out front lawn. I climbed to the top of it on a regular basis.

Exhibit B: Also when I was 7 years old I took the swings off of our metal swing set and instead used it as a jungle gym and climbed to the top of slash across it. Basically everyday of my childhood summer days.

Exhibit C: At recess in elementary I was always glued to the monkey bars. Many times I was climbing on top of them and swinging back down, just so I could climb to the top again.

Exhibit D: At the end of the street I grew up on was a giant boulder. [Basically everyone in the city used it as a reference point, "Yeah, and then you turn at the big rock..."]. I spent many summer days trying to figure out different ways to climb to the top of that boulder.

So why have I never gotten into rock climbing before?

Beats me.

But now that I've discovered it, I'm not going to stop.

Once I conquer these indoor walls I will move onto the mountains of Utah!

bunny.

I want a bunny.

But I'm afraid. 

I've been researching them and they are a lot of work. I have a full time job and am also gone sometimes in the evenings (usually never all evening, though).

But something keeps drawing me back to getting a bunny. Maybe because they're so dang cute. I also just love animals.

Does anyone have a bunny or have previously owned a bunny? 

Suggestions? Tips for if I do get one?

Decisions. Made em.

My last post (don't look at the date, we'll pretend it was yesterday) was about decisions.

Well, I made my decisions. It was really rough, but here I am and I'm pretty confident that my choices were right. Luckily I was communicating with my Heavenly Father through it all and He has let me know I'm on the right path. One decision, that I will not go into detail of, was extremely hard and something that I did not want to do. But I have faith that God's plan for me is far better than my plan for myself. 

Another decision landed me with the amazing job I have now.

 I am lead teacher of an Early Head Start classroom (1-3 year olds) and am the coordinator of that classroom and the daycare room that is next door. 

I am practically running a business on TOP of teaching, and I love it! 

I have four employees.

Yeah. That makes me the boss.

Check out my classroom! (I've actually already changed some things and am in the process of changing more, but you get the idea.)

Decision number three.  I moved. 

I used to live in a college town.

Now I live in a nice suburb 15 minutes away from the state's capitol.

I used to live with my best friends.

Now I live with my middle aged aunt. (Don't misinterpret that, she is awesome and I love her to death, i'm just trying to get you to see the differences!)

I used to park in underground parking (if I was lucky).

Now I park in a driveway.

I use to share a room.

Now I have my own.

I used to be a college student.

Now I am part of the real world. 

I hate making decisions. But I am sure glad that I made them. 

Decisions

Don't you just love it when life is going so great and then all of a sudden you have to make a million decisions, all at the same time?

Yeah, that's me right now.

Graduating opens the door for many opportunities, which I thought would be great, but it's getting a little freaky!

I have a few ideas on to make these decisions (which may or may not include lots of prayer and pro/con lists).

How else do you make decisions?

New Beginnings

I am officially a college graduate.

You can send your congratulation cards and checks to my home address.
[Just kidding!]

Everyone keeps asking me "what are you going to do now?" I always thought I'd have an easy answer.
Turns out...I don't.  
It's a strange feeling, not knowing. Where I really want to be is in a classroom, molding the young minds of our future.

The problem is, I graduated mid-school year. Definitely not peak time for hiring teachers.

So I just keep putting in resume after resume, filling out application after application, hoping it will eventually pay off.

If you are wondering, though, in the meantime I will most likely substitute teach (so if you are or know anyone that teaches in Utah, call me to sub!).
And I also just got a part-time tutoring job.

While I may not have my dream job yet,
I think things are going pretty well. 

P.S. Also if you are wondering "ummmm, why doesn't she have any pictures of herself graduating?" Wonder no more! BYU doesn't do ceremonies in December, so I will walk in April! Expect pictures then! But until then, just pretend this is me:
