“The magic of reading aloud isn’t 'once upon a time;'
it’s once upon a dad, once upon a mom, once upon a teacher.”

i have the best big brother.

This is just one of the many reasons why.

He told me yesterday that he was going to be making calzones. So naturally, being the annoying little sister, I told him he should also make me one…or was it date? Yes, it was a date. But he said I could stop by his apartment if I wanted to [we live in the same complex]. I told him maybe after work…and if he had any leftover food to save it for me.

Later after work I texted him and said I was bored and asked if I could come crash his date for a bit.
His response?

“Yeah, come get your calzone, girl!”

look how beautiful it is.

Yeah. My brother and his date made me a calzone.

who wore it best?

Once upon a time SM had a birthday party.
A hipster birthday party.
One man showed up wearing a thrift store coat.
Three people ended up wearing this coat.
Jenkerr, KyeKye, and myself.

thrift store clothes are the best.

Please Help!

Pepsi is sponsoring a Project Grant Program that will award $250,000 to the public organization that demonstrates the most commitment. Here in my college town is a place called the Food and Care Coalition. Recently, they received money from a church to start a homeless shelter, but have been unable to finish it. Currently, this county does not have a homeless shelter so those people must travel an hour or more to find sufficient shelter.

“This morning I helped a youngle single divorced mother of two children who had failed to graduate from high school. When you realize the need these people have, it really makes you want to do more for them…if everyone knew how critical the need for this shelter was, they would enthusiastically support this effort.”

thank you, rory

So I found out recently that I LOVE pro/con lists.

And yes, I’ll admit my source of this love.

Rory Gilmore. From Gilmore Girls.

My most recent pro/con list: Student Teaching vs. Internship.

The pro/con list has helped me not freak out so much, but I am definitely open to any other suggestions for making decisions.

How is it that you make decisions?

start of a new semester.

15 hours a week of work.

20 hours a week of class.

Homework. Readings. Papers. Tests. Lesson plans.

Class before the crack of dawn. Until after the sun sets.

Am I scared? Yes.

Can I do it? You bet.

BRING IT ON.
