Todd's Dating Advice 101

My brother is pretty much a genius. On everything. When we take the same classes he always gets a better score than me on every test. And whenever I need advice, he has a plethora. (“Jefe, what is a plethora?” 10 points to whoever can make that movie). The problem is, he always tells me great things, and then I forget about them. So I think from now on I should just post them up here, then I can look them up later, and all my friends can benefit from his great advice as well.

So here is Todd Tip #1:

You must have the 2 A’s. Attractability and Availability

Attractability:  You must be attracted to the person. Personality-wise and physically.

Availability:  The person you are attracted to, has to be available, if not, there is no use in pursuing. Move on.

Both of these seem pretty obvious, but they aren’t really to some people.  So you may think this is silly, but down the road this will come to your mind and you will realize why it is so important.  So don’t forget the 2 A’s.

i just have to make it through finals.

three more days and then freedom…for a week.

And that freedom is going to be glorious. So many things to do. So many people to see.

My two awesome cousins are coming out. I hooked them up with sweet buddy passes on delta. Kendall was out here partying it up with me last year, and Kimmy has just been the-best-cousin-ever-slash-sister-I-never-had.

So friends that are staying in P-town, be ready for a party.

In addition to these great people, my mom and two little brothers are also coming out! I think they are staying an hour away though, so who knows when I’ll see them.

Then, on Saturday is the HUTCHING FAMILY REUNION! Woo-hoo! Watch out Utah, the Hutch’s are here.

Check us out in the early 90’s. We be hot. (i’m that little girl in the front row wearing yellow).

accidental procrastination. or was it?

I had a huge end of the semester paper to do for my Infant Development class. I partly procrastinated, waiting until last week to even pick a topic. But I figured I had a couple weeks. Wrong. I found out on Thursday while looking through my planner that the paper was actually due the following week, this week.

Of course I panicked. I had to find 10 scholarly primary sources. I had none. So I got to work on Friday and researched all day. I didn’t do anything over the weekend though. Oops. It was Easter and General Conference.

I was back at it on Monday and Tuesday all day. The library and I became great friends…

but I think it liked me a little more than I liked it.

By Tuesday night I had everything but the conclusion written. I also then needed three people to edit it and give me written feedback (really dumb for a non-english class if you ask me). Luckily I have an amazing mother, brother (todd), and roommate (leah wasson). Thanks guys.

By noon on Wednesday I still had some finishing touches, but I had a class to run to. I pulled out my planner in class, flipped to next week to see what I had to do, and sitting right there on Monday, April 12, 2010 were the words “SFL Research Paper Due.”

WHAAAATTTTT???

I flipped back to this week, and sure enough on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 were the exact. same. words.

After class I called my TA to get to the bottom of it, and it turns out the paper is due next week! So not cool. I practically killed myself working on this paper! Fer reals. While I was texting todd I even told him that this was my farewell to him, as I would be dying that night. His response? “Goodbye. Can I have your ipod?”

So now I have another few days to perfect the paper. The truth though? I am so sick of that thing it’ll be a miracle if I pick it up again and work on it.

Miracles happen everyday, though, right?
